Since 1992, the Union Plus Scholarship program has provided more than $2.8 million in financial aid to help students attend trade/technical schools, community or junior colleges, four-year colleges and graduate schools. Scholarship grants totaling $200,000 are awarded annually to current or retired union members, their spouses or dependent children. In 2009, 133 students were awarded a total of $200,000 in scholarships from the Union Plus Scholarship program offered through the Union Plus Education Foundation. Awards range from $500 to $4,000.
