Citywide Strike Could Be on Tap for Vegas

Members of unions representing Las Vegas casino workers will hold a citywide strike vote on Tuesday, May 22, which, if it goes through, will authorize strikes affecting Las Vegas casino resorts with major events venues as soon as the morning of June 1.

UNITE HERE’s Culinary and Bartenders Unions represent 50,000 union workers whose contracts expire on June 1 at 34 casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas, including properties operated by MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Penn National, Golden Entertainment, Boyd Gaming, and more, according to the official statement announcing the strike.
