According to Culinary Union spokesperson Bethany Khan, members were able to circle around the George Floyd protest by exiting the Strip and entering further south around Tropicana Avenue.
As casinos prepare to reopen on June 4, the union is demanding that these properties share their “full reopening plans and implement strong worker and visitor protections.”
Specifically, the union is asking for two things: transparency on how casinos will prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that the Gaming Control Board adopt the union’s public health guidelines as the minimum for casino operators.
