UNION MEMBERS TO VOTE ON WHETHER TO AUTHORIZE A STRIKE
Culinary and Bartender Union members will take a strike authorization vote on Thursday, March, 27, 2014 at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center.
WHO: Union members from the following properties: Binion’s, El Cortez, Four Queens, Fremont, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget, Las Vegas Club, Las Vegas Plaza, Main Street Station, The D, Brady Laundries, and Margaritaville.
WHAT: Vote to Authorize a Strike
WHEN: 10am to noon and 6pm to 8 pm. The vote is closed to public, but press is invited at 9am and 5pm at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center for interviews. The result of the vote will be released by 9 pm.
WHERE: East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center (250 North Eastern Avenue, corner of E. Stewart Ave.)
On March 27, union members from companies which haven’t signed a new contract with the Unions will take a strike authorization vote. Should the majority vote yes, the Union’s leadership will have the authority to call for a strike against any of these companies at any time.
