D. Taylor, Secretary-Treasurer

D. Taylor has been with Culinary Workers Union, Local 226 for over 21 years and serves as Secretary-Treasurer.

He also is a member of UNITE HERE’s Executive Committee, serving as Executive Vice President for Gaming throughout Northern America.

D. Taylor is a Trustee of the HEREIU Health and Welfare Fund, Southern Nevada Culinary and Bartenders Pension Fund. He is a Board Member of Nevada Partners, the Culinary Training Academy, the Nevada State AFL-CIO, and Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada.

Geoconda Arguello Kline, President

Geoconda Arguello Kline serves as President for Culinary Workers Union, Local 226.

Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Geoconda came to the United States in 1979 and moved to Las Vegas in 1983, where she worked at the Fitzgerald’s Hotel as a Guest Room Attendant. She became part of Culinary Union staff in 1990.

Geoconda Arguello Kline serves as Vice President of UNITE HERE International Union. She is a Trustee of the HEREIU Health and Welfare Fund, Southern Nevada Culinary and Bartenders Pension Fund. She is a Board Member of the Culinary Training Academy, the United Labor Agency of Nevada, and The Citizenship Project.

Leain Vashon, Vice-President

Leain Vashon serves as Vice-President for Culinary Workers Union, Local 226.

Leain works fulltime as a Bell Captain at Paris. He has been a Culinary Union member for 28 years and shop steward for 9 years. Leain has also served on the negotiating committee for the last several contracts.
