Culinary Shop Stewards Travel the Country

Six Culinary Union shop stewards are part of the Change to Win Truth Squad Tour that is traveling across the country to educate the public about Republican Presidential candidate John McCain.    The tour is bringing together members from the Culinary Union and other Change to Win unions and traveling the country in three legs. 

The upcoming presidential election is being watched closely with states like Nevada playing an important role.  Culinary shop stewards on the Truth Squad tour are bringing important information about the positions of the candidates to working people across the country.  The first tour started in Nevada with stops in Reno and Las Vegas as well as Arizona and Colorado – other legs of the journey include stops in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Michigan.

Culinary members from Las Vegas participating in the Truth Squad Tour include:

• Jennifer Grote – waitress at Paris
• John Vera – dishwasher at Caesar’s Palace
• Augustine Salinas – kitchen worker at Circus Circus
