Culinary Union reaches agreement with MGM Grand

On Saturday, June 20th, hundreds of MGM Grand workers voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new five-year collective bargaining agreement covering 2,500 Culinary & Bartender Union members.

Despite the current economic turmoil, the new MGM contract’s wage and benefit package is similar to other Strip properties.  The old agreement expired last November, but now MGM workers are protected until November 2013. Not only are Health & Welfare and pension protected, the November 2013 expiration date comes in the same year as the rest of the Strip.
