Last month the board, which is chaired by Station Casinos executive Valarie Murzl, granted some $10,000 million in federal grants to ResCare, a for-profit company providing workforce services throughout the nation. The previous recipient, Culinary Union-affiliate Nevada Partners, was shut out and is crying foul in federal court where it’s filed a lawsuit against the Workforce Connections board.
