Melissa Zamarron, a buffet food server who has worked 18 years at the Palms, said she’s been fighting to be unionized for the past four years.
She voted yes “because I want to be able to take care of my family with the Union health plan,” Zamarron said in a statement from the Culinary Union, which represents about 60,000 casino workers in Southern Nevada.
