CLEVELAND, Ohio — Union hospitality workers plan to picket Mabel’s BBQ here because of owner Michael Symon’s connection to the Palms in Las Vegas, which workers say refuses to recognize their vote to unionize.
The demonstration is part of a national effort by the Nevada Culinary Workers Union Local 226 protesting Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas. Symon runs another Mabel’s BBQ location inside the Palms.
