In Nevada, UNITE HERE is marshaling troops for Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), who is narrowly trailing Sen.Dean Heller (R-Nev.). The Culinary Union has registered more than 10,000 members and their families since 2016, according to internal figures. In some cases the union has given hospitality workers long leaves of absence to canvas; one worker featured in a New York Times editorial over the weekend has been campaigning six days a week since May.
