Members of Southern Nevada’s Culinary Local 226 are dying of COVID-19 at a rate of almost twice the frequency expected based on the number of members and Southern Nevada’s adult population.
“In Las Vegas, we’ve had 11 Culinary Union members die because of COVID-19.” Culinary Secretary-Treasurer Geoconda Arguello Kline said in a statement after Mayor Carolyn Goodman argued on national television for reopening casinos.
