A Historic Night in Las Vegas
Speaking before jubilant supporters at MEET Las Vegas in downtown as the Associated Press projected his victory, Ford struck a note of collective resolve. "It happened because of faith, because of family, because of hard work," Ford told the crowd, declaring that Nevada had decided "our best days are still ahead of us." The scene echoed his primary triumph in June, when he celebrated at the Las Vegas headquarters of Culinary Workers Union Local 226 alongside his wife, attorney Berna Rhodes-Ford, and his son Alexander Ford.
