Meanwhile, the Culinary Workers Union, one of the most powerful labor groups in Nevada, is preparing for Tuesday’s debate in Las Vegas. The union is running a Spanish-language radio ad calling for an end to the Affordable Care Act’s 40 percent excise tax on expensive health plans, also known as the Cadillac Tax. “We work hard and took less pay to protect health benefits for our families,” the ad says. “That is not a Cadillac. It is a sacrifice.”
