Statement Regarding Governor Scott Walker's Town Hall in Las Vegas

In what is clearly an attempt to gain political points, Governor Scott Walker is trying to disguise a blatant attack on working people by calling it “reform.”

It’s shameful that someone who thinks he is qualified to be President of the United States of America cannot recognize that hard-working people deserve a voice on-the-job, respect, and a living wage. Walker’s proposed measures are dangerous for all working men and women, not just union members.

The Culinary Union has been fighting for working families in Nevada for 80 years, we see many political candidates come and go, and we will not allow this kind of rhetoric to go unchallenged.

-Geoconda Arguello-Kline, Secretary-Treasurer for the Culinary Union
