Burning Man turns 40, Culinary health center and Colorado River concerns

🏥 The Culinary Union has opened its fourth and final culinary health center in Las Vegas. The 99,000-square-foot facility is located on Tropicana and Decatur.

Staff at the facility say it will help provide low- or no-cost primary and mental health care, as well as pharmacy, diagnostic and surgical services to 100,000 culinary members and their families each year.

The new location is expected to employ around 200 people, including 40 health care practitioners. The Culinary Workers Union represents around 60,000 hospitality workers and is the largest union in the state.
