Culinary Union collecting arguments from Nevada casino workers on safety

Argüello-Kline said 19 culinary union members have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Last week, Caesars Palace employee Adolfo Fernandez, 51, died from COVID-19 respiratory illness after returning to work when casinos reopened. The union said it had asked both Nevada Gaming Control Board and Governor Sisolak to tighten safety measures for hospitality workers ahead of reopening.

"Thousands and thousands of people work in the hospitality industry and behind them are families," Argüello-Kline said. "We have to figure out how the leadership of this state is taking a step, and the union will continue fighting on other ways too."
