With an increase in food insecurity, in part caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations and businesses across the valley are working hard to collect and pack meals giving families one less worry this thanksgiving.
“Our goal today is to provide a fall-themed grocery basket for approximately 9,000 families,” said Dr. Mark J. Scott, CEO of the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas.
