CULINARY FOR LANGFORD
Very interesting to see the Culinary endorse insurgent hopeful Robert Langford for DA against Steve Wolfson, and with a strong statement:” It’s time that Nevadans have a District Attorney who will stand up for working people, not just the wealthy and the well-connected. We look forward to seeing Robert champion workers’ rights and other issues important to working families as Clark County’s next District Attorney.”
But what will the union really do?
Sayeth spox Bethany Khan: “As we had in the past, the Culinary Union will have a comprehensive political and field program which includes workers who take a leave-of-absence from their jobs to phonebank and canvas neighborhoods daily. The goal of our political program is to encourage members and their families to get to the polls in order to support candidates who will fight for issues that workers care about.”
That’s boiler plate. The Culinary could change that race dynamic. But will it?
