WHEN: Wednesday, March 18 at 11am ET / 8am PT
WHERE: Media must RSVP for call-in information. RSVP here: https://forms.gle/oSh1U8Ken1oiygLS7
WHY: As frontline workers in the hotel, gaming, food service and transportation industries, UNITE HERE expects approximately 70% of its 300,000 members to be idled indefinitely due to COVID-19-related shutdowns, cancellations and closures. While affected industries and corporations will rebound, this could be a catastrophic event for workers who are facing down an unexpected loss of their livelihoods and the federal government must act now to pass an immediate and comprehensive stimulus package.
UNITE HERE leadership will provide updates on the industry, call for immediate solutions, and take questions.
