The Culinary Union's 2016 Endorsements

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The election is just around the corner. November 8, 2016 is Election Day with early voting available from October 22 -November 4. Here are the Culinary Union's recommendations for the general election.

We select endorsements with the well-being of Union members and the future of the labor movement in mind.

This is an incredibly important election year for Nevada. Our state could determine which candidate wins the White House and which party controls Congress, not to mention which party controls the majority in the Legislature. There is a lot at stake for workers.

Donald Trump and his Republican team want to make it almost impossible for us to have the high-quality affordable healthcare we've fought for. They want to change the rules to make it harder for us to have good union contracts. We can't let them win. We have to vote!

In selecting our endorsed candidates, we looked for politicians who will fight with us to protect our union. Across the board, the people on this guide meet that standard.

Nevada's general elections are "open" so you can vote for any candidate, regardless of your party registration (Democratic/ Republican/ Non-Partisan).

Now is our time to let politicians know we are engaged and active.

If you have questions about our recommended candidates or the election process, please feel free to call the Culinary Union's Political Office: (702) 386-5279.

In solidarity,

Geoconda Arguello-Kline, Secretary-Treasurer

Ted Pappageorge, President
