PBS Newshour also highlighted the power of working families who are in a union:

Susana: “I have a better job, better pay, and better health insurance. I have a house and a car. My life has changed. My kids went to the university and for me [it] was the best.”

Mirtha: “[There is a] big difference between a union and non-union job. For example: [non-union] health insurance. I [would] need to pay for me and for my daughter. It was very expensive every month. So in the union - I don’t pay nothing.”

The Culinary Union fights every day for 60,000 workers to have fair wages, job security, and the best health benefits.
