1. Send your landlord a signed SIGNED Eviction Moratorium Declaration
The national ban on evictions lasts through June 30, 2021. There can be no evictions for non-payment of rent. You need to submit a signed declaration to be protected (www.lacsn.org/images/Flyers/CDCDeclarationPacket4.01.pdf) and should still seek rental assistance.
2. Live in Clark County? Apply for rent assistance!
If you need help paying your rent, you may qualify for funds through the Clark County’s CARES Housing Assistance Program (CHAP).
CHAP provides funds to Clark County residents to cover housing and utility costs if they have lost their job, have had their hours reduced at work, or have been furloughed from work. Apply for rent assistance if you are eligible and have not already applied.

If you cannot apply online, call Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada at (702) 649-0998.
3. Respond to eviction notice in court and ask for mediation
If you get an eviction notice, respond online or in person in court. Select mediation if responding to a nonpayment of rent eviction notice. The online process can take between 20-60 minutes, but is faster than going to court in person.
