CULINARY UNION FIGHTS CUTS AT MGMMGM 2020 cuts have now reached our Culinary and Bartenders Union jobs. Under the label of realignment, MGM has proposed in some hotels to eliminate GRA stations, increase the workload of Porters, Utility Persons, and Housemen, and eliminate Saturdays and Sundays off. MGM is also bringing in technology that will cut workers in the front of the house. We believe one job should be enough and we will fight to protect our jobs. GRIEVANCE VICTORY
Linda, a Culinary Union member who works at 4 Queens, recently received $4,000 in back-pay after winning a grievance for wrongful termination! Her case went to expedited arbitration, the Culinary Union grievance team argued her case, and arbitrators ruled that Linda should go back to work and get full back pay and benefits.

CULINARY & BARTENDERS HOUSING FUND SUCCESS
Lori is a food server at the Westgate and Culinary Union member for 35 years. As a member of the Culinary Union, she was eligible to use the Culinary and Bartenders Housing Partnership Program. She went through the process in just two months, and was able to buy a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom ranch style home with very spacious backyard! Lori says she will be recommend the Culinary Union Housing Fund to her family members and friends because she had a great experience.
