Hideo Sawada, CEO of Japanese company H.I.S., which runs restaurants and hotels said, “You can work them 24 hours a day, and they don’t need vacation. Eventually, it’s more cost-efficient to use the robot.”

* Hard Rock update: Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas workers travelled around the country to speak at pension meetings. In Las Vegas, the Culinary Union filed Unfair Labor Practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that the company had committed federal labor law violations. Hard Rock agreed to a settlement. VICTORY!
