Due to changes in Federal law, all unemployment benefit claimants will have to meet the work search requirement starting on May 2, 2021. It is not difficult to meet the requirement.
You can call your employer to ask if work is available or do a job search online. You do need to document your search activities and report them on your weekly claim application. This will be required for those who are only working part-time hours, too.
Separately, make sure to check the “my documents” tab in your online UI account and check your mail to see if you have received a notice from DETR about the RESEA program (Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment). If you are selected for RESEA, you must make an appointment to do a virtual meeting with a government job counselor. If you are selected and do not respond, your benefit may be affected.

Debido a cambios en la ley Federal, todos los solicitantes de beneficios por desempleo tendrán que cumplir con el requisito de buscar empleo a partir del 2 de mayo del 2021. No es difícil cumplir con este requisito.
Usted puede llamar a su empleador para preguntar si hay trabajo disponible o hacer una búsqueda de empleo por internet. Sí tendrá que documentar sus actividades de búsqueda y listarlas en su solicitud de reclamo semanal. Esto también será un requisito para las personas que solamente trabajan a tiempo parcial.
Aparte de lo anterior, asegúrese de revisar la pestaña “my documents” (mis documentos) en su cuenta de Desempleo en línea y revise su buzón para ver si ha recibido notificación de DETR acerca del programa RESEA (Evaluación de Elegibilidad y Servicios de Reempleo). Si usted es seleccionado para RESEA, debe hacer una cita para tener una reunión virtual con un orientador gubernamental de empleos. Si usted es seleccionado y no contesta, es posible que su beneficio por desempleo se vea afectado.
