Description: Over a more than 40-year career in Las Vegas journalism, Jack Sheehan has crossed paths with people from all walks of life, but in this special presentation, Sheehan will share stories and insights from his close encounters with cold-blooded killers. He’ll discuss meeting dangerous people such as Gramby Hanley, who, with his father, Tom, killed Culinary Union leader Al Bramlet; Carroll Edward Cole, a serial killer linked to 27 murders; and Billy Lee Chadd, another serial killer known for torturing his victims. And then there’s Sandy Shaw, a teenage girl convicted of participating in the gruesome “Show and Tell” murder, only to be released years later and receive a full pardon.
Speaker: Jack Sheehan, a veteran Las Vegas journalist, has been a professional writer in the city for more than 40 years. He has written more than 1,000 magazine articles on a range of topics and published 18 books, covering sports, entertainment, business and politics, including biographies of Las Vegas industry icons Parry Thomas and William Bennett.
